The president has spoken.Frankly speaking, i was not fully convinced on her speech. Despite... one thing i admired her the most is her bravery. Her courage to speak the truth in front of the 'Filipinos' and apologize with no uncertainties.
For me, what she did is an example of a perfect social suicide, but the fact that she faced it and regret her mistake to the whole nation... mind you, that was the most fearless move i saw so far in my bitchy life.
I voted her. And even though my trust to her is not as strong as before, i still believe her.

she was left with no choice but to admit it because all evidence point to her. at kahit pa inamin nyang sya yun hindi naman nyang diretsong binanggit ang pangalan ni garcilliano by referring to him as comelec commissioner in her admittance. baket kaya? e halata namang sya yun kasi hello, garci!
in the first place, mali yung ginawa nyang pagtawag sa comelec noong panahon ng eleksyon. and clues in the recorded conversation reveal na may balak talaga syang mandaya.
na-ah! she has a a lot of choices. but the fact that she wants to set the record straight and clear the nation's doubts, that's why she spoke.
And why would she need to mention the name Garci? (irrelevant!) She made the plot so nothing to blame except her, even though there are people behind involved.
I know what she did was a huge mistake for the nation. And I believe she had her own reasons. Nevertheless, its a good thing na rin, keysa isang hamak na sikat na artista lang ang mamuno. The nation is not a theatre stage to play with!
the thing is she didn't admit the whole truth behind the matter.
the nation is also not a place for magic tricks.
She dont need to admit the whole truth. The bottom line is she admit her mistake and apologize to the nation.
Magic tricks are part of politics, but a person knowing less if not nothing in politics is an unbearable risk to take.

hndi purket politiko ka may karapatan ka na mandaya. oo nga't nakakabit na ang kadayaan sa pulitika (because of its dirty nature) pero it doesnt mean that it should be part of politics.
my point is sana di na lang sya nandaya. nagpaimpeach siya ng mandaraya e siya rin pala nandaya how doublesided is that.
Whats the sense of knowing the whole truth? Isn't it enought to know the significant points of the truth? Kung baga sa pagbabasa ng article, you only need the main idea, right?
As i said before, regardless if they have the rights or not, you cant still erase the fact that cheating is part of politics and it will be there forever-- Its an aspect to gain power and title
Better graft the votes to the suitable leader to rule the nation right than letting an inapt individual rule to graft and corrupt the nation.

that she either authorized or did not authorize the recording/wiretapping (di ba may copy din daw sila na original "DAW").
It's the government;s failure to fulfill its promises to the people so they are the culprits of our status in our lives. They have given a chance to prove and serve the people but what have we been experiencing. It's a total failure by the Arroyo administration.

I'm tired of hearing all these opposition's bull shit. At least GMA admitted doing such a thing. Did Erap ever admitted where all his wealth come from? These politicians should stop whining and complaining. If they care enough for the filipino people as a whole, they should help GMA and our government solve the crisis our country is facing. But they only care for themselves, because they are more corrupt and selfish. I think most politicians cheated one way or another, i guess they're bitter because they're being outcheated.... and outsmarted...

definitely! It's like a boss-employee relationship. If the subordinate made a mistake and admitted it and asked for an apology. The boss forgives and give his subordinate another shot. But the boss will never accept the apology of his subordinate if he knows that he's hopeless ever since.

i dont think a boss will ever forgive an employee who forged a document or committed any fraudulent act.
you'll never know if your employee has any hope if you have given him the chance. pero once u committed an act as bad as fraud then that's unforgivable... (sori kung malayo na, just countering ur arg on this one)
