PeakTour Perfect

Today is nature trippin' to the extreme. The weather is perfectly fine (sun is up!). My colleague, Michelle and I went to the Botanical and Zoological Garden in HK Central and The Peak (as in tuktok ng bundok ng HK) overviewing the Hong Kong central business district, Kowloon and the Victoria Harbour.

Central Stop: Botanical and Zoological Garden
This place is awesome! Why? kasi open garden sya, meaning open to all kasi walang entrance fee, you can go without paying a single cent (pwera na lang pagnagutom ka, syempre gagastos ka na). The place is so clean, well maintained, guarded saka higit sa lahat hindi amoy Manila Zoo (im not being mean, just being true) Anyway, we went their at around early noon. The trees are big and great, and well-preserved. I couldn't imagine on how did they preserve such tall, rich, and abundant trees and plans in the middle of congested urban. Imagine, it is located in the heart of the city with tall skyscrapers, lots of vehicles and people, but still they managed to preserve such tropical, wild haven. It's like a rainforest surrounded by buildings (cool!). Some of the hotspots that we went are the jaguar cage (na malungkot dahil alang partner), reptile house (na turtle at python lang ang laman), orchidarium, bird's place and many more. It's past two and we haven't took our lunch yet so we decided to go up up in a way towards the Peak.

Top Stop: The Peak
We took a tram going up to the Peak and the trip is a little bit of a nerve wracking experience, traveling up in a perfect forty-five degree angle (cool!). Pagdating sa taas we took a little glimpse of HK's business central from the peak and took some pictures and then, as I said we're hungry so we decided to look for a dim sum resto since we haven't tasted yet since we came here. But unfortunately we can't find one and the only place that we know is none other than McDonalds (err!). After we took our anticipated lunch, its time to rock on. We roam around the Peak. We saw this path from the other side of the park and we decided to go there and see what's in there. And you don't wanna know how long that path is. Grabe it's a path going around the side of the mountain. So imagining mo na lang yung gilid ang bundok nilibot naming at ang layo. Sumakit ang mga paa ko sa kakalakad. I thought we will never find the end of the road sa sobrang haba tapos forest talaga sya. I had fun though yun nga lang sumakit talaga yung mga paa ko. It was late afternoon when we came back to the 'point of origin'. Then we decided to take a seat, relax our aching feet and just feel the mountain afternoon mist. Five before eight, it's nearly time; we went to the terrace and waited for the pyrotechnic lights of the buildings - a showcase of skyscrapers' kinetic lights (cool!). And for fifteen mins we had a great time staring at the Central from the top.
